Education and Training

Madaktari & MUSC in Africa

The MUSC Center for Global Health is engaged in collaborations in research, education, and training with partners in a number of countries around the world and serve as advisors and mentors for students planning global health experiences. The Center for Global Health encourages students and trainees to engage in global health in a meaningful way via research projects, supervised clinical rotations, research or service learning projects.  Our students and trainees are eligible to apply for funds through our travel grant program to support their global health project.

Participation in field experiences is a key component to global health education, and provides medical and health professional trainees invaluable lessons relating to health disparities, ethics, cultural humility, community service, and exposure to different health systems.
